"Is it on Netflix?" That's more often heard than not when discussing films or movies amongst friends these days, where streaming content has pretty much become the preferred standard for near instantaneous and convenient viewing from home. But sometimes you may not be sure if the foreign film you saw at a film festival back in 2003 is now available on Netflix, Hulu, or Amazon. That's where you turn to site, Can I Stream It?...
Can I Stream It? is also available in Android (above), iOS, and Windows Phone app editions for answers while out and about.
How does it work?
CanIStream. It is a free service created by Urban Pixels that allows you to search across the most popular streaming, rental, and purchase services to find where a movie is available. If the movie you're looking for is not available, just sign-up, set a reminder and voila we will shoot you an email when your chosen service makes the movie available. It's simple and fast.
I typed in "Borgia" knowing there are not only two different TV series (a Showtime channel production and a lesser known Netflix produced series), but also numerous movies related to the historical family, and the site correctly pulled up the singular title series using the TV search option. Upon typing in "Batman", I was returned a list including the 1966 TV series alongside numerous animated productions of Gotham's best using the TV search option, while the movie tab search brought up Christopher Nolan's Dark Knight movies, and unfortunately Joel Schumacher's interpretation of the Caped Crusader, alongside all the streaming rental/purchase options. If your preferred streaming service has yet to carry your choice in movie or TV series, you can create a notification to update you on availability, including DVD/Blu-ray options.
So now you can put to rest any debate of whether Mama's Family is available on Netflix anywhere you go!
