We're all about adaptability here. We're psyched to find a piece of furniture or home decor that can go from one room to another. But what about a piece that can replace another room? Like, maybe, your entire workspace?

This marvel of malleability looks like a simple modern armchair, but it hides a secret. With a few folding swivel trays and a power station tucked into its side, this chair transitions seamlessly into a one-man workspace.

At first glance, the P@d chair gives off airplane-seat vibes. But after careful consideration, you might realize that the fold-out laptop desk and mousepad tucked into its arms can be a really handy feature for office nomad-types who love to work from the couch.
There's also a small power strip hidden inside a panel on the side of the chair, so you'll never have to scramble behind the sofa for an outlet ever again.

It's no surprise this tech-friendly style comes from Martin Ballendat, the designer behind the laptop-ready L@p chair we featured previously.
Of course, the P@d chair falls into the trap of "If you have to ask how much it costs, you can't afford it." If you'd like to give it a try anyway, contact Rossin's UK Sales Office and get a price.

Sprout Side Table
When I first looked at it, I thought it was a potty. Ooops.

Since I work from home, I could not use this for an 8 hour day. It looks like your head would be bent down to look at the laptop and eventually, you'll get neck strain. But I will say it's a cool idea if you're just checking email or searching for something on the web. Nice too for those who view TV/HULU/DVD's on their laptops.
Pretty cool but I'd definitely need an ottoman and some pillows if I was going to work on my computer all day. Also not sure there'd be enough space for my dog to squeeze his head between my legs and laptop like he usually does when we're on the couch!
Nearly all laptops have a built in mouse, in which case most people are right handed and would probably prefer the laptop on the right side. Also, that isn't a big enough mouse pad anyway, even if you did want to use it.
Really glad it wasn't a toilet.
it could be prettier, but I love the theory :)
it always works that way.. items that might have actual promise for use.. end up being more than anyone can afford.... i cannot see this at all in a home though.. too sterile.. and like one person mentioned .. if you were working from home.. this would not be comfy for very long..
that being said.. having some of these in a airport, train station, library .. could be very useful
@CHRISAT Me too.
I thought potty chair too!
But where would the chair's outlet get its power? In the first picture, there's no evidence of the chair being plugged in somewhere...
I want that! Guess I will have to buy a laptop.
Okay. But it's still ugly, uncomfortable, and poorly designed. Other than that, though...
ugly, sorry
As a classical composer who self publishes and still needs to print music, I have 2 towers, 2 montiors, a printer and a synthesizer. I have a door on 2 filing cabinets for the first 4 itimes and a table for the synth and the printer. My life will never be that compact.
Love the idea, but it doesn't look ergonomic. The mousepad looks especially uncomfortable.
This would be really cool in an airport lounge.
