Q: Can anyone identify this fan? It is the closest fan to the beautiful Boffi fan...but hopefully much cheaper. I'm looking for this without the light.

White Enamel Flatwa...
Checkout Modern Fan Company. The blades look similar to my Ball fan.
It looks like the Fanimation Zonix fan with a woven trim around the housing and the light kit:

Modern Fan Company would be my first stop, because the fans there have that minimal, sleek look. Also remember that many times, a fan that has a light on it in the position your photo shows -- meaning straight down, not those combinations of 4 or 5 "tulip" lights that flare out -- will also come with a solid cover if you don't want to use the light. Both of my Minkas came with optional solid covers (but I like the bit of overhead light).
I got one a lot like that (with the blade ends hidden in brushed metal housing) from the local Home Depot. The blades sides have different wood stains so you can use the side that matches your furniture best. And yes, you can use a cap instead of the lite. Great buy.
My sister has that fan. She bought it at Home Depot. It only works by remote control, FYI. If I had to guess based on what I know of her budget, it was probably in the $100-$200 range.
That's the lapa from Modern Fan. See here: http://www.modernfan.com/lapa.html. Add the light, and switch the blades to maple. They discontinued the 3-blade model a while ago though.
