Paddington, Pooh, Teddy Ruxpin, and Care Bears all have one thing in common. Aside from being beloved childhood toys they're now also under your foot... aw, say it ain't so!

Augustina Woodgate is on a handmade mission to create some of the most cuddly rugs around. Now cuddly isn't exactly a word we usually describe rugs with, but in the case of her teddy bear rugs, we'll make an exception.

Each rug is handcrafted and designed before being stitched together from stuffed teddy bears that have seen better days. She aims to reference "the personal histories of the toy's owners, but investigate the rug as an object organizing and displaying memories and lineages as they do in Eastern cultures."

The rugs are actually rather striking with bold colors and large graphic statements, the added bonus being the history in each piece. You can check out more over at Augustina's website along with many of her other projects and undertakings.
