If you have a little girl who got a box of Valentine's chocolates today, you can turn it into a sweet shadow box for storing little trinkets (or plastic animals with creepy eyes). It's easy to make and will relieve some of the guilt you may be feeling from sampling half the chocolates while she's in bed tonight.

I used an old shirt box left over from Christmas, cut it into 1 inch wide strips, and fit them into the box. Where the strips come together at a corner, just cut a slot on each strip and slide the strips together. Hopefully she'll love it so much that she won't even notice the missing chocolates!

Shaw's Original Fir...
awesome - now all I need is a chocolate box!
That is cute but I would need about 20 boxes to house my daughter's collection!
Wow, so funny--I was just thinking about doing this a few days ago! I have several heart boxes that I have saved over the years, and was brainstorming ways to use them. My daughter has a ton of those plastic animals with creepy eyes, and she loves boxes! So I will be bookmarking this!
