Canopy beds can create such drama in a room, and the awkward wall space created by these tall frames can really benefit from the brightness and reflection that mirrors provide.
A mirror behind a canopy bed anchors the furniture in the room. It also gives an opportunity to add color with a frame, and to bring the opposite side of the room across visually.

White Enamel Four-P...
#4 is absolutely amazing in every way.
I've been desperately looking for an affordable sun or starburst mirror, and everything is way outside my budget. I'd like to see an AT post with sources for these.
THANK YOU for providing a few pictures with standard ceiling heights! Not everyone reading AT has great architecture and I never would have thought a canopy bed in a room with an 8ft ceiling would look good. But it can work! :)
Thank you. :)
I really like the dark blue in the 7th picture. I always loved dark colors in a bedroom just because it makes it easier to sleep, but it is sometimes difficult to convince others that it can look good with the right accents. I added that pic to my hardrive for furture arguments.
Beautiful rooms!
I like them all and can't decide my favorite!

(Do a Google image search for starburst mirrors or sunburst mirrors and you will find more.)
My bed isn't a canopy style, but I do have the mirror over the headboard -- I love the look! (NH isn't famous for earthquakes, though, so I sympathize with west coasters.)
Now please do a source list for starburst clocks!!
I feel kind of... exasperated and dissatisfied when canopy bed frames have no curtains or canopy. I guess the form is so strongly linked to the supposed function that on its own there is little appeal to me.
