Choosing just one wall color you love can be a long process with much hemming and hawing and hanging paint chips and testing the light at different times of day. So why would anyone want to go through that twice? Well these lovely rooms should give you a clue. I've put together an inspiration gallery for you of twenty rooms that use two wall colors to lovely effect.
The top two rows show off rooms with two colors on separate walls while the bottom rows shows two colors used horizontally on all the walls. Both strategies give the room dimension and personality. You can use two colors close on the spectrum or two that compliment each other well.

So cute! We'll be doing 2-color in our 1st baby's room as well, a variation on the tried and true green and grey. I'm so excited to see how it turns out! Thanks for the inspiration from others!
That's a fine start, and then perhaps paint the ceiling in one of the two wall colors. Plain white ceilings seem so blah, so dated, such a missed opportunity.
I am only just now realizing that these are all baby rooms, but hey, it's all on the same site now, right?
I have a dark navy "accent wall" in my living room behind the TV. I love it--it gives the space a really nice theater type feel.
Oh, man, I'm having a hard enough time deciding on one color and now I have to revise my mind-set and think about two!!
I just painted my living room from black to white, leaving one wall black. I was unsure during the painting process but after seeing it done and living with it for a week or so, I can't tell how how much dimension and interest it's provided. Before and after pics are here of the room: http://www.gohausgo.com/2012/01/the-black-room-is-painted/
I think it's cute for a baby or child's room, since they respond to color so well and it's fun.
But I can't say I'd ever do an adult room with two colors like this. For me, personally, it's just too much distraction. Though, strangely, I kind of like it when one wall is a different texture (glass, metal, brick, wood) for some reason.
What a fun and inspirational group of shots! I love that you are promoting more than one wall color. To me, architectural color is all about the energy it creates. Using more colors that are in harmony with each other creates a better feeling space, kind of like a party...the vibration increases!
If you are overwhelmed with choosing multiple colors, I invite you to check out the Color in Space Dwelling Palettes™ and Chakra Palettes™ available for purchase on our website. The palettes are foolproof color and design tools of 12 coordinated and energetically balanced Benjamin Moore and C2 Paint colors. They can be used as color roadmaps for your entire home: decor, architectural finishes, and paint! We're doing our best to educate about metamerism (how colors' appearance changes in response to light conditions and adjacent colors) and provide tools that manage it for you.
