Who doesn't love good-looking, smart, and modern furniture? Combine gorgeous aesthetics with clever design and a sustainable attitude, and you get this local Austin furniture maker...

Local artist Brian Frisbie creates modern furniture pieces with an industrial look using only local, reclaimed materials like Texas pecan wood and reclaimed steel. Setting his pieces a part from other modern artists, Frisbie incorporates the architectural concept of cantilevering into his designs. Likening his designs to miniature buildings that create space rather than just occupying it, he partners with Barbara Frisbie, who creates equally miniature landscapes that live in the open spaces of some of the pieces. We love this combination of modern design aesthetics with clever, architectural concepts and warm, living plant life.

What do you think about the furniture of the Frisbie Design Concern? Are you a fan of using the concept of cantilevering in furniture? Let us know!
