Cleaning out our closet this weekend we came across an ex-box, a cardboard box filled with old articles, emails, photographs, a shirt, the reminders of an old relationship which we'd like to keep but which we'd prefer to keep out of sight for now. Here's the perfect way to do it...
Designed by Annika Schmidt, it's the perfect marriage of form and dys-function. Doing double duty as a hanger, we think it beats a box shoved onto a upper shelf. In our small closet, we'd also use it to store less painful items (old tax returns come to mind). Via DesignSpotter

Could be a clever way to stash valuables away too...
AT (Maxwell) please allow your team to write in the first person now and then. This entry just comes off as awful written in the royal we.
Please. It would honestly make your site so much more appealing.
YES! I too cannot stand the royal WE!!!!
Here here for the dismissal of the royal we.
It might not be so annoying if it weren't so heavily relied upon here.
Read Sararae's posts - she finds an angle to tell her story rather than just spill out information that starts with "I like this, I like that." Which is then changed to the royal we.
A good writer tells a story. Tell us about the product, or the concept or the discovery instead of just telling us you like it or found it.
Yay Annika! I always loved you're work, glad to see you're off to a great start in your career!
<3 your fellow risd alum- Sarah
I agree with KTG; my clothes are already crammed onto the rod. There's no space for that box. Maybe if you hang it on a hook on the door.
The royal we doesn't bother me. For me, it's so ubiquitous that it disappears.
Why use valuable closet rod space for stuff that doesn't need to hang? Totally nonsensical.
"Sweetheart, could you get me my white blouse? It's hanging next to the box of old tax returns."
WTF?
I enjoy reading AT but lately the site has been giving me more ideas about what not to do.
I think this is a nice idea for keepsakes if you have a space in your closet for it. Maybe you collect opera tickets. Or post-cards. Or have saved some love letters. Or snapshots. Or birthday cards. If you've got the space, it's sweet. If not, then skip it.
But for cryin' out loud, the snarky tone in some of these posts is truly nonsense.
PS -- "Doing double duty as a hanger...."
Can this in fact double as a coat hanger? Hey, then way cool!
