The idea is simple: a basic modern sofa framework that is stuffed with perfectly-proportioned cushions and pillows. The upholstered pieces can be removed to be cleaned or replaced. The designs of the Bouroullec Brothers continue to impress me. The Basket Series for Cappellini includes 2-and 3-seater sofas, an armchair, ottoman, and pouf...
The framework can be white, red or blue. The upholstery options make it super-customizable and I'd love to see a tasteful mix of colors and textures! French designers
Ronan and Erwan Bouroullec recently got a lot of web attention with their
floating house concept. They've done a lot of work for
Cappellini, including
Cloud shelving and their
Butterfly cabinet.

The Bouroullec brothers are one of my favorite design teams. Love their wall treatments and partitions especially. Any idea how to pronounce their name?
I'm not familiar with these designers but I would assume that Bouroullec = boo-roo-yek (in Americanese)
Not a fan of the sofa, but LOVE the painting! Anyone know where I can find it?
Same here - sofa: NOT - painting: LOVE IT
It's boo-roo-lek.
And by the way, I am in love with this sofa.
This sofa is interesting but kinda of looks like something IKEA would produce. I like the concept but I would feel like I would constantly be "poufing" each cushion so it looks like it is in the photo.
great sofa. i can probably make one. don't like the painting :(
