Sheer brilliance or completely useless? You be the judge. But CapSee pretty much does what it says it does. It allows you to see when you've accidentally hit that Caps Lock key.
And that's about it.
Surely, if you're familiar with the Mac paradigm, you'll immediately recognize the iconography as it eludes to a Mac OS X-only product. And, for what it's worth, it is - a bezel-style visual cue for those who absolutely must know when their caps has been hit.
Then again, if you're the owner of one of the newer Macbook Pros, the built-in keyboard backlight which glows green should take care of indication issues. But for those Mac owners out there who feel like this might improve your user experience, we say go for it.
You can grab the software over here. It's freeware and doesn't seem to take up much bloat on your computer.
BONUS TECH TIP:
Or you can just disable the Caps Lock key altogether:
1. System Preferences
2. Keyboard
3. Click "Modifier Keys" Button
4. Set "Caps Lock Key" to "No Action"

"...or you could just notice that suddenly, you are typing in all caps."
there have been many times I've been locked out because I had caps lock on and my password wasn't all caps.
After a long session of data work where every entry is all caps with a keyboard that doesn't have a caps lock indicator light... this software is a welcome relief.
This certainly would have come in handy when I had my Logitech wireless keyboard. A feature inexplicably missing from some of their wireless keyboards. Now that I have a Apple bluetooth keyboard however, I dont need it since my keyboard actually has a light indicator that my capslock is on.
WHAT A TOTALLY USELESS...nevermind.
