Our first thought when we saw this cardboard art project was how wonderful a herd of these would look galloping across the walls of a young equine lover's bedroom. Artist Ann Wood made a horse a day until she had 100, but you and your kids could start with just a few. Beyond a wall treatment, we think these would look great strung together as a garland, hung as ornaments from a tree or make a fun favor that kids could decorate and take home after a birthday party.

Ann Wood is sharing a template, photo tutorial and written instructions at Design*Sponge. Younger kids could help color, paint or otherwise decorate the horses and older kids could likely help put them together (perhaps substituting thread, fishing line or dental floss for wire). It also occurred to us how beautiful these would be covered in fabric or decorative paper.

wow. That must have took a while, but it looks like a cute idea, I would maybe look into making different animals as well.
