Location: Western Addition - San Francisco, California
Everything in my home has been discovered on a treasure hunt. Whether I was at a flea market, garage sale, or it is something a wonderful friend gave me, each piece is a little find. Being an artist, I am inspired everywhere I go. Color always stops me in my tracks — hence my latest turquoise and chartreuse obsession.
Art is a big part of my home and as luck would have it, as owner of a little wine bar/ art gallery I was introduced me to some of San Francisco's best underground talent. I am always creating new ideas and finishes for clients, so I surround myself with the loveliest books.
My style is decrepit beauty or romantic bohemian. Nothing is perfect, but everything is perfect for me. I like to feel the history of my pieces which is why I find it difficult to buy things new. I have created little vignettes all over my house to display my latest findings.
The piece I am proudest of is my white taxidermy peacock (Higgins) that holds court in my dining room. There are many close seconds....a French concert invitaion from the 1800's that hangs over my bed, a jewelry case that I use as my kitchen island and displays my china.
The only problem with my space is I find so many amazing things and I am running out of room. Thank goodness I am opening a store!
