- Inspiration for my palette:
- I saw the wall color in a home of a client's and knew I had to have this color in my bedroom because it has such a calming, peaceful feel. The Sticky Weed stencil from the Stencil Library, has always been a favorite of mine. I wanted to feel like I was falling asleep and waking up in a forest of these flowers, so stenciled them on the headboard wall, wrapping them around onto the two adjacent walls.
- Colors used in my room
- A very pale blue green (Ben Moore's Quiet Moments) for the base color of the walls; white with pearlescent highlights for the stenciled flowers; yellow, white, gray and tan accents. A pop of color with the distressed blue chair.
- Tips for using color successfully
- Don't settle for colors in your home that do not make you smile when you walk into each room. Think outside of the box. It's only paint, you can always repaint if you find it does not work for you.

The lucite chair is such a smart choice for this room!
The lucite chair is such a smart choice - it reduces the visual clutter so much!
I also LOVE the duvet cover. Would you mind saying where it's from?
This might be my fave so far. The layered shades of light colors are soothing, but you still see the color pop. I'm glad you used more than 2 colors, I just think it's necessary to make color look not too matchy matchy.
Thanks, Ros. The duvet cover is from Target.
I love the airiness of the white against the wall shade rather than color. Just love the room! Great job!!
Your stencil job is a tour de force!
Simple, calming, comfy - perfect bedroom. Fennel and color palette combine beautifully for a fresh look.
That's a lot of fennel, hahaha!
But my jaw dropped when I realized you stenciled the wall - fantastic job!
I agree with everyone else in that the lucite chair is PERFECT for that space. The blue chair on the other hand......not so much.
It's funny, this is totally not my style but somehow I just love it! It's so calming yet intriguing at the same time. Well done!
This is such a nice room. If ever move to a place where i would have a guest bedroom, this would be my inspiration
Love it! I want it.
I was about to say "great wallpaper", but you stenciled it? Gorgeous!
And oddly enough, I found the duvet the one off note, but don't mind me. Favourited anyway.
Lovely color choices. Bed needs a headboard, though... it looks a little messy without one.
Mama want.
