Carolyn's Sky Blue Bedroom

My Room

Name: Carolyn Gray
Location: Washington Crossing, Pennsylvania

My husband and I decided to keep the gender of our baby a surprise. When we moved into our house (at 7 months pregnant!) I was excited to see the blue color on the walls. Girl or boy, I knew I wanted to incorporate these beautiful hot air balloons I found on One Kings Lane and the blue served as the perfect sky backdrop. The slanted ceilings were ideal for hanging them and for creating a cozy, welcoming space for our babe.

After Carolyn was born, we purchased the soft pink rug (can't design a girl's room without a little pink!). She loves rolling around on it and I often catch her staring at the balloons with delight.

One of my favorite parts of the nursery is the collection of Pixar prints my sister gave me (found on Etsy!). Not only do the pastel colors work perfectly, but they are of my favorite Pixar films! Since my husband and I are filmmakers, we felt it only right to encourage CC to love movies as well :)

The hardest thing to find (which seems common on this blog) was a comfortable yet stylish glider. I finally stumbled across this Little Castle one on Target's website. I love the pattern and it's a perfect place for feeding, reading & rocking.

My other favorite item is the gorgeous Babyletto tree bookcase my friends gifted us. I think the best decor in a baby's room is lots & lots of books!

Thanks, Meredith! Readers, say hello to Meredith at Moho Creative.
