Most often times we think about carpeting being used almost exclusively on the floor. We might get daring once in awhile and think about making a cat scratcher out of it, but usually... carpet stays under our feet. Well not in this house, click through the jump for a link to see carpet on walls, furniture, stairs, and toys...
The work was done by carpet collective, Fun on the Floor. Carpet is used as a wallcovering in the hallway, as upholstery in the living room, as a creation of leaves for the jungle theme of the kids’ bedroom, and replaces the standard moose trophy in the front hall. Photos via MoCo Loco, thanks for the headup on such a great use of carpet!

My EYES! MY EYES!! AAAhhhh!!
It's really vibrant but so disorienting! And that deer head has got to go.
I love the idea of flowers cascading like a waterfall down the stairs, I love the ottoman, and the children's room is great.
that's a little hideous
So fun!!
Aw.Ful.
At least when I fell down the stairs twice a day I'd be cushioned. Slightly.
That would seriously [further] screw up my balance. I'm digging the grass vases, however.
This is just ugly...from the top to the bottom. Not one redeemable characteristic.
love it all! time to go to work on that spare stack of carpet samples...
Shades of crocheted granny squares! I've done the seventies and don't need to do it again.
ugly, yes. dangerous, maybe?
I'm having flashbacks to "Family Creative Workshop" circa 1977.
It's the Willy Wonka and the carpet factory.
That stair carpeting looks like the hideous afghan that was on Roseanne's couch during that sitcom's entire run on TV. Bad, just bad.
GAAACCK! Looks like every heinous afghan ever crocheted. NOT HOT.
hdtex, aren't you lacking those redeeming social graces? i think so
