Whoa - That highbacked armchair rocks!
This particular white room is stark, but I don't think of white interiors as stark in general. They're gleaming, like field of snow.
I am too OCD to keep a place like that spotless, but it's pretty! It's nice that they vary tints of white.
I love all white rooms - in photos. I drool and dream over the concept. But I would be very nervous to enjoy my red wine in a white room and I love my red wine more.
Yes. It works much better in photos. We tried it once and it's more than the red wine. It's everything. Even people look out of place. It's a hard life...
Pretty and unattainable. Makes for a good fantasy, though.
The trick with a white apartment is to make it cozy. Sleek and stark, while good for an accent, doesn't suggest that you could settle onto that couch with a good book.
I drool over photos of all white rooms, but I'm not sure I could live in an all white space. I'd get bored pretty quickly.
Clear the junk off the sofa and the surfaces and it would be nice...too stimulating otherwise.
All I would need to do is walk in and put down my cup of coffee or a newspaper and it would look cluttered.
If you're going to go minimalism take look at Pawson's work. Somehow he removes all of the severity and makes the spaces serene, beautiful, and humane.
That looks like an awesome sectional. Wonder where it's from...
