The minimalist exterior and interior of this Swedish summer home is both refreshing and a pleasant framework for the surrounding landscape.
Designed by Stockholm-based WRB ( Widjedal Racki Bergerhoff) Architecture Studio, the home is built into a rocky hillside and allows for many terraces for indoor/outdoor living. You can see more of this home at Plastolux and the architects' site: WRB.

White Enamel Flatwa...
Beautiful setting and I like the architecture.
Don't care for any of the furniture. I usually do not mind a white sofa but this one really dominates the room in a bad way.
But jeeze that first picture with the landscape and blue light coming in is gorgeous.
what is it with the scandinavians and their incredible sense of style? northern canada has the snow and light, but most people pack their cookie-cutter houses with overstuffed maroon leather sectionals and oak dining sets. i want us all to be like the swedes, all stylish and sleek!
Hey polish chick - Sweden has its share of maroon leather sectionals too, sorry to say. Add to that ultra tacky gnomes of every size and shape that have been deemed "collectible", curtains that end about 5 inches off the floor, and a design sense that's hopelessly stuck in 1983. There are exceptions, thank goodness, but generally what you see is the cream of the crop that was good enough to make it onto the web or into a design mag. Sorry to burst your bubble!
i'm amazed at how i always fall in love with the often white/neutral scandinavian styles... yet in my own home i can't get enough colour. i guess if i had a view like this i wouldn't need the distraction.
This is beautiful. It's not cozy, but all the windows make up for it. You really don't need much inside when you feel like you're outdoors. Still, I'd need some blankets. And I would prefer if the floors at least were a lighter wood to add a bit more warmth. I also don't like the TV being a focal point in the living room. But overall, this is absolutely gorgeous. I wouldn't want to move to Sweden (too cold and depressing) but a house like this would certainly sweeten the deal.
