If you are lucky enough to have some vintage suitcases in your home and you don't know what to do with them — stack 'em up and throw them next to your bed. At first it sounds a little crazy, but as you can tell from these gorgeous photos, it's actually a really good idea. Plus, we all know how expensive bedside tables can be, so if you already own suitcases — you'll be saving tons of money.
There's really no way to mess this look up. Stack the suitcases as high or as low as you want (and depending on the height of your bed). The different colors and patterns can add a ton of interest and fun to your bedroom, or you can spray paint them white (or any color) to match.

'Tons of money' & 'a ton of interest'? It's just suitcases next to a bed like we've been seeing for decades.
For those of us with dust, mold, allergies, this vintage arrangement spells asthma attack, especially when next to a bed.
I want one of those cute monster toys in picture 4.
I love this idea...wish I had room next to my bed! I have a pair of vintage mustard suitcases that would look lovely as a nightstand.
I'd love to buy the grey blanket in the first picture.
Any ideas where I can get it? :D
Ah yes. Just forget about putting glasses of water or anything that rolls (books, eyeglasses, pens) by your bed. #3 is warped concavely, and #4 is too domed for most small objects. I do like the cheat that #2 used by putting a tray on top of the cases, though.
Heatherlou: That is a bed cover and matching pillow cover from Anthropologie. Comes in a few colours.
The suitcase by your bedside will also be perfect to store the last fad you bought into - yes, the 'Keep Calm and Carry On' poster.
Can't make myself like them.
I bought into this last week when I rearranged my furniture and put a vintage suitcase on-end next to my bed. I wanted something taller, with less of a footprint so I wouldn't be tempted to keep so much useless crap next to my bed. So far, it's worked great!
Also, since I use my phone as an alarm clock, the "vibrate" setting resonates in the suitcase, and is kind of a pleasant way to rouse myself before the BEEP BEEP BEEP starts.
Can't imagine that the Louis Vuitton luggage was all that inexpensive.
