The function recognizes faces and makes your skin look smoother (blurs) and softens shadows on your face (lightens). The intensity of the image processing can be selected from 12 levels.

The EX-Z300 is 10.1 Megapixels with a 4x optical zoom lens. It is capable of shooting still images up to 3648 x 2736 and 24fps video with a resolution of up to 1280 x 720. It uses SDHC memory cards and has a built-in memory of 38.5 Megabytes. Scheduled for launch tomorrow, August 29.

The EX-Z250 is 9.1 Megapixels with a 4x optical zoom lens. It is capable of shooting still images up to 3456 x 2592 and 30fps video with a resolution of up to 848 x 480. It uses SDHC memory card and has a built-in memory of 38.5 Megabytes. It is slated for launch Aug 29, Sept 5 and Sept 26, depending on the color.
