I'm not going to lie, I think beavers are funny. I know it's immature, and I don't have an excuse, it's just the way it is. Which might explain why I am in love with Castor Design's Castor Stool (castor is Spanish for beaver). I find its design interesting, and its humor endearing. I also love that it is equal parts organic, and industrial.
Designed to resemble a log that has been gnawed at by a beaver, the Castor Stool is hand carved out of a single piece of limestone. Its design screams outdoorsy, but this stool would fit perfectly in the most urban of settings. This is not the first time that we see Castor Design dabble in clever design. They surprised us with their Invisible Chandelier, and their Antler Headphones. I hope that Castor Design continues to humor us with more great pieces.
