We love entertaining in the warm weather months. The sun never seems to set so there is plenty of time for kids to play and adults to talk. We love this idea we found over at Stitch/Craft to throw an ice cream party.
Go to the market and buy one of every flavor of ice cream you see. Set out some toppings - like sprinkles, crumbled cookies, fruit, and chocolate syrup and you're set. You could also do a variation on the theme with popsicles and/or sorbet.

Can't wait to do this. So simple it is genius!!
Thanks for featuring my party! (for those who are interested, my blog also has pictures of a very easy and inexpensive garland I made out of felt circles).
I love this idea! Can you post a link to your blog?
We have done this and it's soooo fun for kids and adults too. Just man the candy bowls or little hands sneak a lot of bits. We also have done this Donna Hay recipe for informal parties and set up a station for making cookie jewelry and it's a huge hit too. These cookies are really simple but really yummy (and just whizz the sugar to get it finer if you don't keep superfine around the house).

I love this party idea, and your circles! We are throwing a Sherbert & Spice party this weekend complete with a sherbert stand hundreds of feet of circles. We are even building a tee-pee out of felt circles. http://thecitycradle.com Summer is such a lovely time to celebrate!
