Though many readers will prefer the DIY version of these Cat Stairs, we felt this Cat Cloud Shelf was a nice alternative to those who don't want to DIY...
Made of powder-coated steel, the shelves come with removable magnetic pads made of foam and covered in faux sheepskin.
"Let your cat walk along your wall rather than your furniture."
Customers have the choice of a left or right-oriented shelf in three colors: off-white, white and titanium. Each Cat Cloud Cat Shelf costs $99 and includes heavy duty wall anchors. Available from The Refined Feline.

Awesome! The fact that it supports 70 pounds means even my fat tabbies could enjoy this.
Never mind the stairs, what breed of cat is this?
looks like a bengal?
OK, 950, that's it. I'm gonna start a band called Fat Tabbies.
love it and i know my tabby would love it when he isnt hiding under the bed, from strange noises.
Am I the only person wondering how the cat got up there? My cat is a pretty good jumper, but that's a big jump onto a relatively small landing space! Looks fabulous
With my Matilda this would be a nightmare. She would feel that this place of honor afforded her the right to yell all the time. What this spoiled little cat has to yell about, I have no idea, but damn can she holler.
I prefer to discourage her being at my eye level. Don't want her getting ideas...
DC_Chica, as someone who has had a cat land on her head in the shower twice now, I can tell you that cats can get up DAMN high on to teeeeeeeny spaces. Mine lept from the toilet seat to the top of the shower doors just fine. She only fell because she was chasing her tail up there.
This looks like a good solution for my girls. Their cat tree is starting to look sad and I can't find one I think looks decent to replace it.
My cats have recently discovered how much they like high places since we moved (the top of the FRIDGE, for pete's sake!) so this is certainly something I'll look into...

Now if you could only keep the cat on it's shelf...
I don't have cat but is this too high for jumping on and off of?
Tiamat, that's hilarious and brings up an excellent point -- if my cats were able to get up that high they would totally attempt try to jump on my head as I walked by. One already tries to climb up my leg as if it were a tree!
does anyone know what breed of cat that is? so beautiful!
Hi Splim,
That looks like a Marble Bengal cat. :) Here's a site I found on them:
http://www.bengal-cat.net/MARBLE%20BENGAL.htm
And for the record I think my kitten would love this shelf but not sure if the price tag is worth it. I'm sure I could make something that sturdy for half the price :P

My younger cat would have no trouble with this, but elderly Geisha would just view it sadly from the floor before taking my seat on the sofa. (It's a great idea for people who don't like cat trees or don't have space for them, though.)
Fat Tabbies!!
Love that!
Correct - it is a bengal cat. His name is Neko and I guess he is a star now! My sister breeds them and game him to me as a gift. http://www.bahiyabengals.com/ He loves the Cat Clouds.
Thanks for this post!
I want to include a cat shelf in my bedroom re-do.
Maybe we try out the DIY version. Some MDF topped with stury black fabric (felt? some kind of this material doormats of often made of?) invisibly fixed on the wall should do the trick.
I love this idea, but the website says that it is approved for dry wall. Sadly, I think my Victorian plaster walls will not support the cat cloud.
Anyone have ideas as to how to get this to stay on plaster walls?
SherryBinNH, I imagine it could be used by older cats if placed low enough on the wall. One could even use a series of them to make a little staircase. That being said, it wold probably just be easier for the cat (and cheaper) to build a little platform with a ramp.
Nice Bengal. I have two. They are such acrobats!
bsk24 - well your cat is very beautful!! I had my heart on a bengal until I found my Mishka...a ragdoll. :)
Any idea how much your cat weights? My girl is still a kitten but both her parents are full size ragdolls (15 and 20 pounds) so I believe she'll be around that range as well. Do you find those shelves very sturdy when your cat jumps on them? My girl is all about jumping and climbing!! lol
Those are beautifully designed cat shelves!! I want them for my new condo!!
Beautiful!!
