"As a volunteer with a cat rescue group in the past five years, I have spent every Sunday helping cat lovers adopt a cat."
"The cats and kittens at the adoption center love to lounge in their hammocks, which hang in their cages. Visitors have asked where they could buy such a hammock for their own cats. Alas, these hammocks can only hang in a cage!
I set out to design a sturdy cat hammock that would look good even in the living room. Other design goals: assemble in seconds without tools, quickly take it apart for storage and travel, ship it flat."

FAVORITE DESIGNER & FAVORITE DESIGN

For a favorite design and designer, I chose a Usonia home designed by Frank Lloyd Wright. The Usionia homes were built with "green" features long before green was used to designate environmentally friendly designs. The Usonia home has a passive solar design and concrete floors with radiant heat.

I think it's brilliant, and your focus group participants obviously feel the same way.
I wouldn't mind one that's human size!
@btoddster, this is all your fault. Because I am weak.
yup! the meowers from missouri would LOVE to have one big enough for two (nitro & ed--iggy wouldn't hold still long enough, and xing hates everyone else;-)
The cat hammock pales to the other entries. I think we all know that cats will lay just about anywhere without need for a specialized sling. Where's the design or originality? Not a fan. This is coming from a person who has had enjoyable and lengthy co-habitation periods with many cats.
"Where's the design or originality?"
I, for one, haven't seen this before! Just because cats can flop about anywhere doesn't mean they wouldn't benefit from a spot just for them.
Fat Kitty,
Then what's the benefit?
Surely the buyer doesn't gain anything after having pulled money out of their pocket for this. Nevermind harboring an additional object, which does not lend any value, in an apartment with limited square footage. (This is Apartment Therapy after all. Not Macmansion Therapy).
I'm looking for the link to purchase in a moment so this obviously has appeal to some cat owners. :)
excellent!!!
VERY delayed response, but the benefit is having a nice piece of design for my cat to lay around on instead of some hideous carpet-covered cat tree. My eyes say thank you.
