Cat Livin Wedge Scratcher: A New Angle in Cat Accessories

We're making a mental note that next year we'll try to make it over to Las Vegas for the buffets...ahem...we mean, the SuperZoo Pet Expo so we can catch the newest in pet decor/accessories like this decor-friendly wedge style scratching post from Cat Livin, the company that brought us the The Climber and The Ottoman...

As one comment on ModernCat.net already notes, we think this design could be improved if the sisal area extended out to the bottom of the front panel and even to the ground level plank so cats could get their cat scratch fever fix from either plane. We also wonder if the scratcher would need to be weighed down or partially wedged under something larger to prevent moving or falling over.

On a related note, our good friend and regular contributor on Unplggd, Sonia and her program Feral for Life was mentioned on the same site for her good deed work on behalf of animals all over. Be sure to check out her site and support her effort by purchasing one of her new shirt designs.

Feral for Life is an attempt to raise funds to support the efforts of Brooklyn's independent cat rescuers. Money will go not only to help pay for food and other necessities for adoptable strays until they're placed in homes, but also to pay for the food independent rescuers must otherwise buy on their own to feed the feral colonies in their neighborhoods.
