It's always fun to visit booths of first time exhibitors at the ABC show and a memorable one this year was Atomic Playrooms. Featuring icons of the atomic age, rockets and robots, these large structures can be used for storage or play (or both). More
Wee Gallery made their name on modern black and white graphics that appealed to a baby's developing eyesight. It didn't hurt that their illustrations were attractive enough to hold onto for years. The company, run by wife and husband team Surya and Dave Pinto, has slowly been expanding their line beyond their deservedly well-known art cards. More
Wonderworld has been making a name for itself in the realm of wooden toys, but at ABC they brought along some of their furniture pieces as well. More
One of the best parts about ABC is seeing new or new-to-the-US companies and one of the most exciting this year was Netherlands-based Nuna. The designs are smart and thoughtful and the aesthetics are sparsely beautiful.
SkipHop is always a favorite stop at ABC and this year was no exception. They introduced a few completely new products as well as expansions of their popular Zoo line and products to complement the innovative Complete Sheet. More
Adiri made a splash in 2007 with the Natural Nurser bottle which had a breast-like silhouette and colic-reducing venting. The Natural Nurser had a bit of a cult following, but many parents found it to be too leaky, didn't like filling it upside down and preferred to have one bottle with different flow nipples instead of buying separate bottles. The bottle was discontinued in 2009, but...it's baaaack, rebooted as the NxGen Nurser. More
The MDB family includes sibling brands Babyletto, Nurseryworks, DaVinci, Franklin & Ben and they are now the U.S. distributor for Aussie company Ubabub. I'm always assured a range of styles in their booth from classic/traditional to ultra modern. More
Boon is always a fun booth to visit at ABC and I love that they bring some of their designers along every year to really describe some of the clever design decisions. There were fewer new things from Boon this year, but they all made sense.
Dutailier products have always been well regarded for quality and comfort, but they weren't particularly known for style. That has certainly changed. We got our first glimpse at last year's ABC show and this year Dutailier's modern offerings were out in full force. It's like Edith Crawley went away for the summer and came back as Sybil. More
Puj began with the Puj Tub designed to make bathing a babe in the sink more comfortable for parents and babies. They've recently released a smaller version, Flyte, even more suited for small bathrooms or travel. More
