Over her years of travel as a stylist and interior designer, Melissa Newirth has been a casual collector of vintage textiles. The growing collection sparked a desire to turn the textiles into modern wares. Thus, Cloth & Goods, an online shop offering a mix of new and vintage textiles and home goods, was born. 

I've been seeing a lot of reclaimed wood pieces at local galleries and home design stores. I love how these works celebrate the raw beauty of wood scraps while offering unique interpretations of the medium.

In honor of the historic marriage equality cases being put before the Supreme Court this week, I've gathered a few same-sex couple-inspired home goods. Now, bear with me, because as with any theme (baseball, Mother's Day, fireworks), there's a lot of cheese you have to wade through to get to the good stuff. I've found a few cool things, but would love to have your contributions!

The owners of Brooklyn shop Collyer's Mansion, Mauri Weakley and Ben Heemskerk, love nothing more than scouring flea markets and little known shops for unique finds for their home. Their collection of goods began to grow so much that they decided to open a shop. And thus, Collyer's Mansion was born. 

Do any of you have children who want to be rockstars? My son started with wanting to be a fireman, then a policeman. Lately it's been going back and forth between being a guitar legend and an amazing DJ. Turntables can be a very cool and hip theme for a rockstar's room and Etsy has some great resources for this.
