We've discussed the 7 deadly sins of decorating, debated whether it's a sin to paint over a vintage piece, and had readers chime in about hiding some of our more sinfully delightful tendencies when guests drop by. But what about (guest) bedroom decor inspired by the 7 deadly sins of wrath, greed, sloth, pride, lust, envy, and gluttony?

- It's so cozy! Just enough room for the two of us and our three fur-babies. All the pillowcases, art and the curtains are home made which makes everything more comfortable. Our bedside tables are old stereo speakers - quirky, yet practical. I love waking up and seeing my colourful dresses at the end of the bed, surrounded by a photo collage of our travels. We've brought the world back with us. The natural light is lovely - gentle in the morning and bright in the afternoon - just how it should be! My bedroom is really just a reflection of who I am - colourful, bright and good for cuddling.

- What do you love about your bedroom?:
- I love how my bedroom seems to have emerged out of my paternal grandfather’s landscape paintings. I have four of them hanging in my bedroom, depicting scenes in Iowa, Vermont, the Virgin Islands, and Puget Sound. Each painting features water and wood, so it seemed natural to include watery and woodsy elements in my room. Above my bed hangs a photograph taken in the lake in Iceland that was formed between the Atlantic and European continental plates. I had the wood-print curtains made of fabric from Ikea. I’m surrounded by pictures of my kids, my DVD collection is close at hand, and I can lay back in bed zoning out to the ficus that gazes longingly at the trees outside my window. I feel simultaneously energized and relaxed in my room, the place where I most enjoy thinking about my place in the world.

- We have two young children so our bedroom is truly our retreat. At the end of a long day, it's the perfect place to unwind and read a book surrounded by soothing tones and soft, comfortable bedding. My favorite aspects of the room are the 6 large windows that let in tons of natural light in the morning, the Orla Kiely wallpaper that I'd been eyeing up for a couple years, and the dressers and beside tables we found on Craigslist.

- A peaceful and calm Zen retreat ! We love the minimalist look that we were going after for the bedroom. Its a white on white palette with textures in window treatments, bedding ,a neutral colored wall art and a pop of color in the form of a throw. There is no patterns play here. The little Zen garden, a DIY project incorporating my collection of sand and pebbles from travels around the world adds a touch of calm. The main focus of the room was to bring the outdoors in.With all the neutral colors and textures the only colors you will see in this room are the changing colors of the seasons! All in all, its a space to unwind, relax and rejuvenate. Wish I had pictures of the room taken in fall and summer!

If the average person sleeps for eight hours each night, at the end of a year we will have spent 2,920 hours under the covers. If we're going to spend all that time wrapped up in sheets, perhaps they should be of the organic variety. Check out a list of our top ten sources for organic bedding and get ready to sleep in carefree comfort.

- My favorite element is my bedspread which my mum and I sewed the summer before I left for University. It's made out of a Liberty of London print. I also love the view of Vancouver, at night it is amazing.
I think you know the drill by now: I give you one look and two drastically different budgets. Today's room is for the well-traveled, with a mix of cultures, super saturated colors, lots of texture and carved wood. The price, and its less expensive counterpoint, is next:
