Finding a reprieve in a colorful escape somewhere along the coast of Mexico, swaying in a hammock with a margarita in hand, would be the perfect way to melt away the stress of city life.
I've always been fascinated with the idea of visiting Morocco. I dream of crossing the Strait of Gibraltar into that ancient world of open-air bazaars and red-cliffed canyons. And I'd like my hotel stay to be just as exotic, a jumble of colors and textures, traditional Berber elements mixed with French and Spanish colonial influences.
I love the Philippines. I married into a Filipino family, and some of my favorite trips are visiting their family and friends back home. I won't lie; Manila isn't the top of my list for prettiest cities in the world; in fact it's far from it. I spent the majority of my life living just a stone's throw from the water's edge. Nothing makes me feel more at peace than feeling the sand beneath my toes combined with the taste and smell of the salt air. For my dream escape, I'm going back to one of my favorite places to do just that, Costa Rica. More
