Perhaps Adrienne should check out Uhuru's newest collection for her Carnivale-Inspired Dream Outdoor Space. Uhuru designers were inspired by Brooklyn's own Coney Island and used salvaged ipe — a generic term for exotic Brazilian hardwood — from the Coney Island boardwalk for these playful designs.
Eric Manigian works primarily with a few small millers who have relationships with local arborists and tree doctors. When they receive felled trees that were cut down due to construction, disease and other factors outside of commercial tree harvesting, Eric salvages these trees for his designs, and saves them from being left to rot, chopped up for firewood, or dragged to a landfill.
