Reclaimed wood and vintage-style crochet: two great tastes that taste great together. These one-of-a-kind handmade stools would look fantastic in any setting, from kitchens and bathrooms to bedrooms and entryways.
Etsy is a no-brainer source for artwork, toys, stuffed animals, pillows, etc. but kids' furniture? Yes! Plenty of woodworking artisans are offering their wares here from tables and chairs to step stools and rockers. Here are five of our favorites.
A few years ago we were admiring the bright, fun fruit bean bags made by EZ Bean, but we were not admiring the price tag. We found a similar, more affordable option which are unfortunately no longer available, but...how about these soft chenille versions from Petooie? "Good for Resting, Reading, TV or just for a Quiet Imagination time. ...BUT NEVER for TIME OUT! This Bean bag chair is for GOOD memories only!"

Just the other day I was complaining that the table the kids use for arts and crafts is too small. Something like this Growing Table would be more appropriate in our house. But who wants to invest in another piece of furniture that will only have short-term utility?
Parents haven't waited for Jonathan Adler to come out with an official Junior line to include his designs in their nurseries and children's rooms (remember the giraffe sconces in Mallory's room?), but those of us who follow kids design were nonetheless intrigued by the peek at the new Jonathan Adler Jr. line unveiled at the NY Gift Fair a few weeks ago. Today we have more images to share to whet your appetites.
I'm not a fan of wingback chairs in general, but something about this child-sized modernist version just tickles my fancy. It's a classic example of a piece of furniture that wouldn't fly in grownup size, but comes off wonderfully when scaled down to kid proportions.
