The decor in this 140-year-old restored cottage looks like it was found in chic, under-the-radar boutiques. In reality, much of it was found (in spots like the roadside and the backyard), inherited, or just repurposed. It's eco-friendly, budget-friendly, and very stylish.

Can you see yourself lounging on one of these leather sofas, listening to Burt Bacharach and drinking whisky? Then this living room design is for you.
Name: Sarah and Brian Meeks
Location: Homewood, Illinois
Size: 1,000 square feet
Years lived in: 1.5 years; owned

The first night in the house, they tore down a wall, and since then, they've poured countless hours and lots of love into fixing up their home.
