We recently visited a friend's apartment that's on the market. They've staged the home beautifully and every last detail has been thoughtfully addressed to show the apartment in its best light at open houses. But on the way out, we noticed one small place they forgot to bring up to snuff, and we realized it could leave potential buyers and other visitors with a less-than-perfect impression of their nearly-perfect home... I fell instantly in love with this cute little cabinet from Polish designer Marek Gut — it combines a modern aesthetic with traditional handmade woodcraft. The bulky faceted cabinet hides a myriad of unique compartments and cubbies and sits surprisingly gracefully on thin wire legs...
You know how mirrors can open up a space? They reflect light, space, and movement to make a small room look more expansive. Hey Apartment Therapy, Can you help me with a request? I'm trying to find something very similar to this cupboard from tinekhome. It could be metal or wood — but definitely needs to be with glass. We need to store our dishes and something like this would be perfect, but I'm having a hard time finding anything with these dimensions and that has clean lines like this. Hi, I just got done remodeling my closet and went through a whole back-and-forth about whether to use bi-fold doors, sliding doors, regular doors, etc. Now, I've decided that I’m going to replace all of the old, cheap, repainted and cracking interior doors in our apartment that just cannot be salvaged any longer. I’ve been looking for single panel doors for a long time! And I'm having a hard time finding them anywhere or finding places that sell doors. My question is inspired by the recently posted Jackson Heights Two Bedroom FSBO where the owner has single panel doors that are just what I’m looking for! Where I can find them? I’m in Brooklyn, NYC. Thanks, Jessica
Yesterday, there was a discussion in the comments of Annie & Manuel's Rustic Den in Hamburg, Germany about how great architecture makes a great space. This idea is validated by these awe-inducing windows from a home in Belgium that was once a 19th Century Flemish Chapel... More
