Put baby in the corner. There's debate about the merits of a dedicated changing table, but if you've decided to go that route, consider using an underutilized corner. Yes, that's right, June is National Potty Training Awareness Month, just incase you didn't know! It's coming to a close, so you've got one more week to join in the fun!
We just watched an interesting video on the Potty Training Debate, and how early is too early to start training right here.

Our space is small so we're attracted to multi-use items. We'd like to get rid of the Diaper Genie - it takes up space and it's an eyesore - and just use the trashcan in the bathroom for soiled diapers and wipes.
But our little open bin trashcan won't do for containing odor. Vipp's stainless steel wastebasket provides a great solution. We have coveted it since first seeing it in person years ago. The Vipp trashcans come with an inner bin for easy cleaning and a rubber ring to keep odors in. Its modern industrial vintage styling looks great in the bathroom. Comes in a variety of colors and sizes and starts at $255 here.
MoMamas wrote to us about the Diaper Valet and asked us to give it a try. It's now part of the standard gear we use for short outings with baby.
The Diaper Valet is a small bag that holds a few diapers, a travel pack of wipes and a small changing pad. There's an inner pocket for credit cards or cash and metal ring for keys.
We tried one with a short handle which looks like a cute purse. More

So, we were home sick on Friday and happened to catch the Oprah Show. She had a segment called "Moms who Made Millions" and one of the moms, Grace Welch, showcased her Patemm Pad, a round diaper changing pad named after her two children, Patrick and Emma. She explained that with her first child, she just found it so frustrating to try to keep him on the rectangular changing pad. And so, a little while later, the Patemm Pad was born. More
