This past weekend's Dwell on Design Conference brought together heavy hitters from the design world, design up-and-comers and lovers of all things modern for a great show. It was inspiring and also totally overwhelming (in a good way) so if you missed it, here are some of our highlights. More
What are you doing this weekend? Dwell on Design, the West Coast's largest design event, takes place this weekend (June 24-26) at the Los Angeles Convention Center in Los Angeles. Curated by the editors of Dwell Magazine, this fun-filled three-day event highlights the specialties of west coast living: forward thinking conceptual design, green building (and driving!), Asian design, outdoor living and garden spaces!

With a convention center filled with some of the finest in home furnishings, prefabricated homes and decorative items, you'd think we'd walk away lusting after a pricey sectional, a limited edition lamp or a luxurious kitchen (all things we did note). But it was something practically mundane in nature that had our lottery hopes surging; a compact washer and dryer pair from Miele, the Little Giant. More
Though the primary focus at Dwell on Design was home furnishings, we were pleased to see a few exhibitors like Trufig showcasing solutions which address decor problems directly related to our home entertainment needs (we've reported on their products before, but this was our first time with them in-person). Trufig's display drew our weary eyes with a refreshing take on outlet, keypads, speakers, switches and data jacks, specifically their wall outlet display which was camouflaged to blend directly with the faux granite wall surface. We hope some of you had an opportunity this weekend to make it out to Dwell on Design, the annual design and decor trade show here in Los Angeles where the large, small and inbetween players in the design world showcase their wares. Friday afternoon we were wined and dined (okay, more like given some tasty sandwiches, salad and soda) by sponsors HP and show host, Dwell, and presented with announcements for the Dwell Design Desk and Dwell's partnership with Heath Ceramics, before moving onto some design+technology offerings from HP.
