One of my favorite moments while walking around Microsoft's E3 was stopping to watch the pugilistic gesticulation of this couple playing the Kinect enabled, Marvel The Avengers Battle For Earth. He's a marginal Hulk at best, but she totally convinces me of her inner Wolverine... More
Nintendo's booth wasn't as elbow to jowl as last year's show (partially due to a better booth layout), but that doesn't mean it wasn't the most bustling and crowded section of the first day from E3. In fact, the Big N's booth was arguably the most active and fun of all the manufacturers exhibiting, with large groups of attendees dancing, laughing (and groaning when losing), furiously drawing, and even going through the motions of lugeing using the touchscreen Wii U GamePad and Wii Balance Board. Here are a few videos and images of the Nintendo's Wii U in action...

Credit nostalgia, but one of the most popular booths at this year's E3 floor yet again was stocked with gaming devices decades old, some which you may yourself have owned and cherished during your childhood. With several long tables of gaming systems from the 1970's and into the golden years of the late 80's-early 90's, many which were playable, plenty of E3 attendees were seen grinning ear to ear, reminded of the joys (and challenges) of their younger years trying to level up against sprite illustrated opponents... Your neighbor's worst nightmare, NBA Baller Beats was the first game I previewed at this year's E3 show floor, and now after watching it in action, I wish we didn't live in a second floor apartment. Using a Xbox 360 and the Kinect sensor, players can tap into their inner Dwayne Wade and test their dribbling skills in rhythm to 30 song of varying difficulty using an included genuine basketball like Dance Dance Revolutionists and Guitar Heroes before them... The Electronics Entertainment Expo this year has nearly returned to full form, filling the Los Angeles Convention Center to the brim with games, gamers and a menagerie of everything video games in a spectacle that's one part Las Vegas, another part theme park, two parts arcade, all sprinkled with some naughty bits. Here are some of the odds and ends snapped at the show...
Razer is a PC gaming peripherals maker with a penchant for offering brutalist-angular designs that remind us a lot of something secretly developed by Wayne Industries for Batman. Subtle they are not, but we have to admit we stopped dead in our tracks when we spied several of their latest mice and keyboards, a few using what they call 4G Dual Sensor technology, many embellished with multi-colored LED lights around and within. Oooh, all those lights and buttons... More
Despite everyone we know once crazed about it, we never bought into the whole hype around Guitar Hero. Sure, it was fun for a few songs, but we always felt cheated by the cheap, lightweight feel of the plastic instrument. How could you feel like Dave Murrary of Iron Maiden while strumming the nonstop onslaught of "2 Minutes to Midnight" when the guitar feels like a plastic ukulele? Worry no longer, Ygnwie, you'll soon be able to learn how to play by plugging in a real guitar. More
Released back in 2006, Nintendo redefined the landscape forever with the announcement of the Wii, leading a revolution of sorts. Video gaming had long been the bastion of boys-to-men gamers with a penchant for 1st person shooters, strategy titles, sports and action-adventure. But in just the blink of a start screen, a whole new demographic of casual gamers evolved around the popularity of a gaming system, creating a whole new wireless-interactive titles which are still popular today across all ages and genders. At this week's 2011 E3, Nintendo unveiled the successor to the Wii, the Wii U, building upon the success and technology with a controller that could be best compared to the offspring of a Wii controller and an iPad. Here's our hands-on impressions from the show... More
