Today's One Minute Tip comes from Cate Griffin, Office Manager at Apartment Therapy. More
My son has only been back in pre-school for a week and already it feels like we just can't get out the door in the morning. Part of the problem is overestimating how much I can realistically get done before we leave the house, but the other half of the problem is simply logistics and organization. I waste too much time walking up and down our apartment collecting things: his shoes, his backpack, his lunch, my bag, my phone, my keys...you get the idea. Does this sound familiar? More
This project, which Courtney from A Little Glass Box refers to as her "anthro inspired rack", came to fruition as an entry in Young House Love's Pinterest challenge. In case you're not familiar with the challenge, the challenge is to make one thing each season inspired by your boards, or as they like to say, "a welcome slap of stop-pinning-and-start-doing." Pretty motivating, right? More

Right now, the entrance to my apartment is a small landing with a few coat hooks and small table. I'm happy with it, but if I ever have a larger space, I'd love to tile it. There's just something glamorous about walking into a tiled, patterned entryway (and it's easy to clean). More
Designer: Ron Marvin
Location: FInancial District, New York, New York
Size: 600 square feet
If "haberdashing" isn't a word, it should be. And Ron Marvin would own it. He's made a mark in the design world with menswear-inspired interiors that come together like a polished GQ how-to: Start with the well-tailored groundwork (charcoal suit, sofa or wall paint), add a splash of color (tie or pocket square or lamp), give it a little bling (cufflink or nailhead trim) and make sure the details are right, polished and impeccable. It's signature Ron Marvin, and dandy never seemed so fine. Even on a bit of a budget.
