Some of you may know Gretchen Jones as the winner of season 8 of Project Runway, but I discovered her because her lovely, layered Brooklyn apartment caught my eye. As I often do, yesterday I stopped by my local J.Crew to browse. As I walked in, the first thing that caught my eye wasn’t the clothes, but a gorgeous vignette near the front of the store — two pebbled leather wine-colored lounge chairs with brass accents around a low, surtboard-shaped marble table. 

If you're a dedicated Instagram user with an affinity for unique sneakers, you're likely going to get a kick out of Nike's latest foray into customizable footwear. The Nike PhotoiD site samples colors from any of your Instagram images and converts them into purchasable sneakers!

My first love is interior design, but fashion is a close second. Not that I consider myself the most fashionable person (most of my paycheck goes toward home updates) but I appreciate good, smart design in general.
