Lights are such a great way to accessorize and personalize a space. While some lighting can be too bland or techy, these fixtures have smooth curves, rustic materials, and organic forms to make your home cozy and bright.
Apparently broom-style ambient lighting was sweeping the world of home decor on the floor of ICFF this year. The LED "Mood Broom" Lamp by Peteris ZIlbers Design seem like an easy IKEA hack in the making; a set of LED DIODER string lights glue gunned onto the back of a painted shop broom, and you've pretty much got the same effect at likely a fraction of the price. Could look great as ambient lighting in a loft or garage space...

Art and design students often create some of the most inventive product designs around. The only problem is that it can be difficult for those students to get their products into the hands of consumers. New e-commerce site Vespoe is solving that problem.
While classic pieces are considered classic for a reason, sometimes the styles we love can be so ubiquitous that we yearn for something new. Designer Jason Koharik pays hommage to the clean lines and geometric silhouette of the modern and deco pieces that are so well loved, in the form of his new collection, aptly titled, The Collected.
The Collected by lamp series is inspired by the beautiful sweeping lines and modeled forms of the Art Nouveau period and early French Modernists. The series represents a "New Nouveau". Each lamp is a one of a kind sculpture made with a variety of reclaimed and recycled materials that show age and marks from its maker. Each is hand crafted and hammered in effort to create a unique and nostalgic piece that can settle comfortably in a modern environment.
Q: After browsing through the wonderful house tour, "Roger's Carefully Curated London Home," I stumbled upon the beautiful lamp that is Santa & Cole's TMM. At over $500, it isn't exactly 'affordable.' Where might one be able to find a floor lamp similar and as stylistically pleasing as this one, preferably cheaper?
