Q: Help! I need the collective wisdom of the Apartment Therapy community. I found this lovely West Elm Source Oryx dining-size table on Craigslist, and it's perfect for my dining spot. But I'm stumped as to what style chairs to put with it!:
Q: I've been living in the most wonderful one bedroom apartment on the second floor of an old house for the last year, and would really like to find a way to take advantage of my large -but slightly awkward - entryway, which consists of a rather tall staircase and high ceilings.
Q: I got these from a flea market for 40.00 (pair). They are an interesting shape and each one has 6 legs... The seller said she inherited them from her aunt... 60s 70s maybe? It is a wooden frame and upholstered... Any help or leads would be well appreciated!
Q: My friend needs your help. She's a newly divorced mom and has just bought a mostly great house in upcountry Hawaii with an awful, dated peachy-gold splotchy master bedroom. The good news is that it is a blank page - she has no furniture yet so whatever color she chooses can set the tone for the room (the furniture in the picture belonged to the previous owners).
Q: Do tell! Is this couch totally ugly or totally RAD? Do tell ASAP because I may be buying it tomorrow! $100 off Craigslist and from a smoke- and pet-free home. Yikes! ...Too perfect?
Q: My best friend and I were looking to move in together. Initially we searched for a two bedroom, but in the neighborhood and building we wanted the price was not realistic. So, we found a beautiful one bedroom that we both absolutely love.
Q: I'm hoping you can help me. Do you happen to know how to uninstall the Google Drive application from a Mac? I just downloaded it and discovered after using it I don't want or need it. For some reason I CANNOT get rid of it from my machine. Thanks for your help!
Q: My wife and I just purchased a condo, and we are having problems with laying out furniture. We didn't think we were going to have a hard time, but everything thing we tried looked weird and cluttered and just wasn't working. I have been looking on Apartment Therapy but didn't find a good answer so I decided to get some help:
Q: Can I recycle a slate counter from our kitchen island to an outdoor table surface? We're renovating our home and I'd like to salvage and re-use as much as possible. The 7' x 2'6" honed, black slate slab topping the island is the perfect size and shape for an outdoor dining table.
Q: I know it looks terrible, but I love this couch. I got it in college at a flea market, and back then it was in pristine condition. Many years later, it probably needs to be put out to pasture, but I'd really like to save it. Someday I'd like to replace the foam and reupholster it in aqua cotton velvet without the skirt so its mid-century legs show. For now though, is there a quicker fix?
