Italian steam cleaner manufacturer Reliable showcased a couple of their newest germ, mold, and bacteria cleaning Enviromate Go and Enviromate Viva models in some eye-catching, albeit, toy-like colours. We like the orange model, but not so sure about the blue…what do you think?
We have a dedicated "charging cabinet" in our living room for laptops, cameras, DS's and the like, but, we keep our cell phone bedside at night. Aside from the fact that we read books on our kindle iphone app, we also use the alarm and have been known to check emails first thing in the morning (bad!, I know). At Home and Housewares, we saw that Oxo makes a nice item to help out with keeping charging neat in the bedroom and beyond.
There was plenty to see and plenty more to try out at the 2010 Home + Housewares Show. But there was one booth we found a special affinity for, and that belonged to Panasonic. Our weary show- plodding muscles were in for a treat, as the top of the line EP30007 Real Pro Ultra was accompanied by the newer, decor friendly EP-MS40 and EP-MS10 massage chairs.
Mrs. Meyers is a staple for cleaning throughout my home - kitchen, bath, laundry, you name it, I probably have used a Mrs. Meyers product for it. And, they have one thing in common - they are all in the pink-labeled "Geranium" scent. This year at the H&H show they had a full lineup of new scents and we got the low-down on them all.
You couldn't miss the colorful monolith situated at the entrance of the Oxo Home & Housewares show booth. It was a grand display of one of their new products, a clear modular wine rack from the Good Grips line. With its modern, streamlined, somewhat faceted honeycomb structure, it's an elegant storage solution.
Getting up on time is always a bit of a pain after a time shift (how's that "spring forward" going so far?). But a light therapy system like Verilux's Natural Sleep System might help, using blue and/or white LED lighting to help you wake or sleep with therapeutic programmed sounds in an improved MP3-FM radio design.
Shown in a few great colors (acid green, sunny yellow and bright turquoise) along with classic black and white at this week's Home & Housewares show, this metal bbq is just the perfect size for small city outside spaces. A stylish step up in design from the beloved Smokey Joe, we think we'll be seeing plenty of these during the warm months ahead.
We just got back from Chicago earlier this week to attend our first Home and Housewares Show. Think of it as CES for the Home Depot, Lowes and Bed, Bath & Beyond set, with a vast show floor filled with every conceivable cleaning, cooking and serving product imagined (or ones you may try to unimagine after seeing). Our first stop of the show was to check out our favourite category of home appliances: vacuums! We stopped by the Hoover booth where we got to check out their latest and greatest in products that suck...but in a good way.
We spent the past two afternoons at the annual, larger-than-life Home and Housewares show here in Chicago. The trade show covers products for cooking, cleaning, organizing and a bit of tabletop and decor. As we walked the aisles, a color story started to emerge that we couldn't ignore.
This year at the Home and Housewares show the "thinking green" message was still there, loud and clear. As we all know, one of the easiest things to do is to stop using plastic and paper bags from the store and get those groceries home in a bag you'll use again and again. Another simple step is reducing the use of "disposable" gift wrap and bags. Three big companies (two European and one US) were showing all sorts of patterns, shapes and sizes for their shoppers and wine bags (both for toting and gifting) - take a look...
