Heaven knows as the Tech Editor I see more iPhone cases than anyone should be exposed to throughout the year. Cases have become so common, it's all too easy to get jaded about these popular accessories. Little did I know the problem wasn't a slow internet connection or even YouTube servers, but possible behind-the-scene shenanigans from our service provider throttling connections to cached servers...
Out with the old and in with the new. Now that you've got a DVR at home that can be set to record and save your favorite TV shows, you've got no use for that old programmable VCR. I highly recommend Grant Thompson's Random Weekend Projects series over at YouTube for some inspired how-to projects. Where else can you learn how to "light a fire with your pee" and "how to make a battery using pennies"? His latest project is a bit more down to earth, outlining how to take that tablet screen video and blow it up to a 50" screen using just $5 in parts...
