The work of artist and designer Jason Keenan spans an eclectic range of interests and disciplines, from automotive and product design, to painting and illustration, and, at one point, DJ'ing. After 10 years in the automotive industry, Jason founded his own studio to focus not only on design but also his own artistic and inventive explorations. From his aurally-enabled workspace, Jason puts the needle on the records for this week's Playlist.

We've talked before about the pros and cons of the growing telecommuting trend. But what happens when you're suddenly a full-time telecommuter, not by choice, but by circumstance? We chatted with several office goers in the New York City metro area who found themselves having to work from home after Hurricane Sandy struck the region. Now that their routines are getting somewhat back to "normal," we asked them what they learned -- and found that their combined experiences offer a few gentle reminders on how you can try to find the balance you need to successfully work from a home office... We recently took a look at the workspaces of creative types (like Ray Eames) who find inspiration in excess, an "organized chaos" of sorts. But what about the opposite: those who flourish in a more orderly office? Get a glimpse at few desks whose occupants stay on task by staying tidy (like this former Tech Tour's picture perfect home office setup) -- then leave us a comment to let us know what kind of space keeps you motivated, and why. It's easy to notice the charm, wit, and sly playfulness behind the work of Andrew Neyer -- so it's no surprise that his signature aesthetic should also make an appearance in his Cincinnati-based home office. Before they were designers, and before they created their own design studio in 2006, John Arndt and Wonhee Jeong Ardt were doing other things. John, a Wisconsin native, was a potter, sculptor, and cabinet maker. Wonhee, originally from Seoul, Korea, was also a sculptor. Realizing they were designers as well, they founded StudioGorm in Rotterdam, the Netherlands, and have since relocated to Eugene, Oregon. Crafting and constructing in their workshop, the duo produce smart, comfortable designs -- the kinds of things you develop a familiarity and intimacy with. For us, they've crafted this week's Playlist, giving us a chance to explore their work's musical accompaniment and the space they work in...
