Trunks are great in small homes and dorms because they can do triple duty as storage, table or bench seat. Lately, I've been loving them as yarn storage. I stuff my yarn collection into the trunk, then stand it up on its end so that it takes up less room (i.e. smaller footprint). This way, it's about the height of a desk or table so I pop a jewelry stand on top, turning it into a mini vanity. This is just one of the many ways trunks and their usage can be customized. More
