A simple idea with sophisticated results, Kragh Rosenberg's foldout (roll out?) sleeper is comprised of eight individual tube pillows, each with a unique pattern and all held together by one central piece of fabric. We're sure a few of your crafty skilled folks out there could create something similar with different patterns and maybe even shapes. A few more images of Kragh Rosenberg's design under the jump... When we first got our W Hotel mattress it was like an epiphany...a glorious awakening...no...slumber! Unfortunately after just less than a couple years, whether due to manufacturing issues or our combined weight being focused on one side (she likes to cuddle), the mattress developed a slight dip that ruined the perfect sleep the mattress once offered. I tried purchasing padded mattress pads, and they helped at first... More
We love our W Hotel Mattress by Simmons. It's the comfiest bed we've ever slept on. But my side is actually starting to get a little depressed. And I'm not talking about Morrissey "every day is like Sunday" melancholy...there's a noticeable dip on my side. More

There is a clear winner here at AT in the category of Air Mattresses. Thanks to everyone who chimed in about how to put up guests without having a guest room when you also don't want to ask them to stay at a hotel. See our winner and where to get her cheap after the cut. More
We got around to cracking open our latest CB catalog and our favourite find within was the Brighton Bed with trundle option (we've always loved bunk beds and trundle beds, maybe because we always liked the idea of sleepovers). Too bad it's only an option for the twin size bed.

How many times have you found yourself with the candles warmly lit, Al Green on rotation and snuggling up with that someone special in bed, only to find an important limb or two fallen asleep under the weight of your partner? We love cuddling up, but the muscles, blood vessels and nerves in our arms often pay a painful price for a few minutes in heavenly embrace. Cue in Mehdi Mojtabavi's Love Mattress, a 2007 red dot award design concept winner. More
The weather is finally starting to exhibit the semblance of the fall season, and that's meant we've added an additional blanket to the bed for a cozier night's rest. Is there anything nicer than a cool pillow and sheets, with a heavy layer of comforters on top, all awaiting for you to be sandwiched inbetween? Hardly.
If you're still too cold, a consideration is adding a natural latex topper. Similar to a synthetic memory foam (which tend to capture too much heat and off gas odour), the natural alternative is produced from the milky sap of the rubber tree. Naturally hypoallergenic and anti-microbial, the topper inhibits the growth of allergy-inducing bacteria, mildew, and dust mites, which is an added bonus to the comfort. More
When I think of waterbeds, I equate them with a big pain in the ass...my lower back, to be exact. I've slept on waterbeds several times in the past, and after each extended period sleeping upon one, I'd awake with an increasingly sore back and memories of bad dreams about wetting the bed.
Sure they were fun while awake for obvious reasons, but over hours of unconscious sleep, the old school water bed was a poor supportive surface for the spine. And getting out of one of these older waterbeds was like a core exercise of frustration; you'd have to swing out your legs first, and then push down to create a wave, then wait for the reflected wave to return to use it springboard out of bed...sometimes with cannonball effects. And darn if it wasn't a pain to fill that bed's bladder using a hose into the bedroom or repair a leak. More
