Isaac was barely two years old when he became completely captivated by Transformers, Iron Man and Buzz Lightyear, I know the later two are not “technically” robots, but their special armor. with all the bells and whistles, has some robotic attributes…I think that counts, right? So rather than having just a Transformers party or an Iron Man party or a Buzz Lightyear party, we decided to lump all his favorite characters into one retro robot-themed party.

Avery's 4th birthday was so fun to plan! It centered around a round orange stuffed cat from IKEA known in our household as "catball." Avery has had a brood of catballs over the years that she plays with, sleeps with, etc. Basically, they're her favorite creatures amongst her entire menagerie of stuffed animals.

I was thrilled how this ballerina party turned out for my 3 year old daughter Stella's birthday. It was a party full of relatively simple, inexpensive DIY decor projects that made for a big impact. Handmade ballet slippers, crepe paper roses, and a tutu birthday cake were the stars of the show (in addition to the little ballerina herself, of course!). Here are the party details:
