For our son's "Big Boy" room, we wanted an eclectic mix of old and new. We scoured our local antique shops for stuff that screamed "All Boy!" to us. 

Industrial cool doesn't need to be confined to just grown up spaces. Look at how wonderfully these wire baskets work in Silas' Poised for Adventure Room. If your baby or kids space is a little too fluffy and soft, why not consider adding some wire baskets to your bookshelf, or like Lindsay, to the wall?

I fell in love with Charley Harper's prints a couple years ago when I read a Todd Oldham book called Hand Made Modern. When I discovered Charley Harper, An Illustrated Life, also by Oldham, I immediately knew that Harper's work would be the inspiration for my future baby's room, regardless of the gender.

When we moved my youngest son out of his crib and into his own bed last year, I wanted to re-decorate his room to be a fun, inspiring place for him to hang out in that reflected him and his fun personality. His two requests for his room were that they included his two favorite things; dinosaurs and baseball. The Cincinnati Reds to be exact.

I wanted a space that was age appropriate for a 3-year-old. I also wanted to steer clear of any "themes" and just create a room that felt youthful and fun. This room is teeny tiny so my biggest challenge was to edit edit edit!
