I saw these small hand warmers by UK-based company NPW at NYIGF last week and thought they'd be perfect to take along for a day of sledding (if we ever get snow here in NYC that is). By snapping a disc inside, the mini mittens heat up within seconds. They're reusable after boiling in water.

The New York International Gift Show takes up the entire Javits Center as well as a few spaces on the west side piers, but it has only a small section devoted to Baby and Child. Another gem of this year's gift fair was Cake, an independent company based out of Nashville, TN. With their adorable booth filled with rustic home goods fashioned out of vintage materials, one couldn't help but stop and chat with these friendly southerners. More
