With an appreciation for Scandinavian design, Andrew Moe designs and creates simple, elegant furniture. That he also designs with the small space in mind makes his furniture even more appealing to us here at Apartment Therapy. A recent transplant to Portland, Andrew recently sat down to answer our Meet the Maker survey. 

As the folks behind Au Lit Fine Linens point out, we spend about a third of our life in bed. And if we're going to spend all that time in one place, we may as well spend it wrapped up in high quality bedding. At Au Lit it's all about the 100% Egyptian cotton woven in Europe and then crafted in Canada.

Amy Pigliacampo and I met a couple of years ago when she was styling a shoot for a mutual friend of ours. As a fashion stylist, Amy is clearly very tuned into originality, design and how to make everything look good! This is true for her fashion sense, and also for the rad home she shares with her husband Corey Szopinski.

A fourth-generation builder, Mark Jupiter was practically born into woodworking. However, it was Mark's first professional experience designing and building a timber frame home in the Catskills that Mark really gleaned his skill set. Today he uses those skills to create handmade furniture using reclaimed materials. 

Corrugated PVC panels are often considered cheap materials for use in building sheds and other inexpensive buildings. Designer Dik Scheepers has taken this crude material and given it a luxe application on his Sine Cabinet.

Michael Robbins is a designer who handcrafts each piece of furniture in an old barn in the Hudson Valley of New York.
