Rustic wood, natural materials, and a bit of living greenery give a bedroom a serene, touch of spring feel. Whether your budget is large or a bit less, you can get an Organic Modern room that's both restful and awakening.
Jessica Warner first discovered her love of textiles while living in Tokyo in 2007. At the time she was impressed by Japanese designers who were making contemporary textiles using old-fashioned techniques. Jessica recently launched her web shop, Twofold, with the intention of introducing similar contemporary textiles to a wider world.
It's so great to see that more and more modern designs are also sustainable and eco-friendly. These ten shops, a mix of brick and mortar and online, are great resources for these organic modern designs.
Plants — they not only bring bring life and clean air into your home, but they're also an easy way to naturally add color to an otherwise white space. You can still get pops of color and texture in your home without using paint or wall covering — just add plants.

I have been following BLIK for years and am thoroughly intrigued by how many different ideas and uses they find for wall decals. Yes, you can use a wall decal as a headboard. Don't have a plant in your house? Not a problem — a wall decal will do. I got really excited when I had the opportunity to take a peek into the co-founder's home to see just how he mixes BLIK decals with his contemporary decor.

As the folks behind Au Lit Fine Linens point out, we spend about a third of our life in bed. And if we're going to spend all that time in one place, we may as well spend it wrapped up in high quality bedding. At Au Lit it's all about the 100% Egyptian cotton woven in Europe and then crafted in Canada.
This pic above is from this morning, and, yes, I have to move in this Friday. While the counter and shelving won't be in yet, everything else should be clean and painted so that Ursula and I can at least land and camp out comfortably while functionality returns. It is already AMAZING to me how much stripping the space down and upgrading all the lighting has already warmed it up and continued what is proving to be a really intense transformation. I want to share some new pics as well as inspiration below.

Amy Pigliacampo and I met a couple of years ago when she was styling a shoot for a mutual friend of ours. As a fashion stylist, Amy is clearly very tuned into originality, design and how to make everything look good! This is true for her fashion sense, and also for the rad home she shares with her husband Corey Szopinski.
